IQAir HealthPro Plus Review
If you loved the IQAir HealthPro air purifier, then you'll love its upgraded version - the IQAir HealthPro Plus. Just like its predecessor, this is another superior quality air purifier.
The superior quality HEPA filters of the IQAir HealthPro has been good enough for many of its users. However, the IQAir HealthPro Plus takes this a step further by offering not one, not two...BUT 3 high quality air filters, which is led by the chemical and odor-trapping filter - the V5 Cell.
When it comes to complexity and efficiency, the V5 Cell Filter of IQAir HealthPro Plus is on top of the list. It takes advantage of a 5-chamber filtration method. Each of these 5 chambers contains activated carbon as well as aluminum that work hand-in-hand and very well in trapping gases and not-so-pleasant odors.
So what does it mean for you?
Simple - this means not just cleaner but better smelling air in your home and rooms. Aside from that, through different tests, it has been shown to absorb and remove well over 200 different gases and odors from the air. And if other air purifiers are having a hard time against air contaminants like dust mites and paint fumes, the IQAir HealthPro Plus handles it like a piece of cake and disposes it very easily.
The V5 Cell Filter, along with the HyperHEPA and Pre-Filter can be easily removed and replaced individually. These filters are a little pricey compared to other filters. After all, you get what you pay for and these are high quality filters. However, the priciest among them is undoubtedly the V5 Cell Filter.
This is compensated, however, by the fact that they can last for more or less 2 years. To top this off, you can easily tell that you need a replacement filter all thanks to the built-in electronic filter monitoring system.
There are different researches and studies conducted concerning the performance and quality of IQAir purifiers especially the HealthPro Plus. And the result? It has been proven that they're effective when it comes to alleviating symptoms caused by allergies, asthma, and other chemical sensitivities. And my experience as an ordinary consumer reflects these findings.
The only minor issue I have with it is that at 35 pounds, this air purifier is a little bulky compared to others. However, for an air purifier that far surpasses the rest of the pack, this is a very minor inconvenience I'm more than willing to ignore.
