The IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier is almost identical to its partner model - the HealthPro Plus - except for the fact that it really is far more compact. Basically, the designers over at IQAir have shaved 40% off the top of the HealthPro Plus to create the IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier.

Interestingly, the implications of this size downgrade are relatively small. The machine still performs to the amazing standards that the larger model does, and it still incorporates the innovate and unique technology of all IQAir products. So why would you want to buy this particular model over another in the IQAir range? We wanted to find out for ourselves.

Filtration Stages
As was the case with the alternative IQAir HealthPro model, the IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier has an incredible array of filtration processes to tackle even the dirtiest of air conditions.

The HEPA filter technology on board is rated to H12 and H13 standards - which may not mean much to the general consumer, but in terms of air quality performance, it's a huge leap forward. Basically, it means that the filter is able to remove air particles which are just 0.01 microns in size. This, with 99% efficiency, is no small feat.

Design & Style
The footprint of the IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier is the same size as the HealthPro Plus - but the vertical height is where the space savings have been made. Approximately 40% of the height of the HealthPro Plus has been subtracted from this model, resulting in more of a box shape than a vertical tower.

The appearance of the machine is just as elegant though, and it definitely won't matter where you put it, because it is surprisingly elegant and modern.

Accreditations
This machine gains the prestigious H12 and H13 HEPA ratings - equivalent to those given to clean rooms and biochemistry laboratories around the world. Of course, it won't make your house in to a biochemically safe area - but the technology on board sure will get it part of the way there.

Effectiveness
If our tests, the IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier was just as effective as the bigger model when cleaning the air in a room of approximately 900 square feet. The prescribed ability of the IQAir HealthPro Compact Air Purifier is for 1000 square feet, however we didn't have a room that was big enough to test this claim.

Digital controls such as the filter life indicator, integrated times, and the fan speed indicator are also nice touches to show how the room is being purified.
