There are many air purifiers that are on the same price range with the Honeywell 50250 that have multiple pieces - and that means they have lots of cracks and seams that leak. Heck! There are air purifying machines that have been designed to hold their filters in place by using the suction from the fan. This is terrible news as it allows the filter to slip and it allows impure air to bypass. In simpler terms, it lowers the purification efficiency of these air purifiers especially when dealing with finer particles.
However, you won't encounter any of those problems whatsoever with the Honeywell 50250! Matter of fact, when I removed my prefilter, it has truckloads of accumulated dust...showing that this filter is a hard-working one!
