I don’t know about you but cleaning the air from dust, pollen, dander, and other particles thoroughly is great…BUT I also want excellent and easy control over my air purifier’s performance. After all, you sure don’t want to waste energy and money accidentally leaving your air purifier on even when you’re not around. The programmable controls of Hunter QuietFlo will allow you to set the number of hours you want the air purifier to work and when to shut off.

What about the noise levels? Well, I want an air purifier that does its job silently. I don’t want me or my kids waking up in the middle of the night…all thanks to that air purifier that whistles and whizzes. The good news is that the Hunter QuietFlo is one silent killer! It’s not called QuietFlo for nothing. That’s especially trure when it’s on the lowest settings. Although it does produce some noise when you set the purification a notch or two higher than usual, I don’t think the noise it produces is much of a big deal.

There is one quibble I have with it though – it’s a little confusing to change and replace the HEPA filter. Overall, however, I’m giving the Hunter QuietFlo two thumbs up! Ever since I installed my 3M Filtrete, I have noticed a huge difference in the quality of the air in my house. There are many air purifiers that are on the same price range with the Honeywell 50250 that have multiple pieces – and that means they have lots of cracks and seams that leak. Heck! There are air purifying machines that have been designed to hold their filters in place by using the suction from the fan. This is terrible news as it allows the filter to slip and it allows impure air to bypass. In simpler terms, it lowers the purification efficiency of these air purifiers especially when dealing with finer particles.

However, you won’t encounter any of those problems whatsoever with the Honeywell 50250! Matter of fact, when I removed my prefilter, it has truckloads of accumulated dust…showing that this filter is a hard-working one!

The brains and engineers of Honeywell has tweaked this air purifier down to the very last detail to fit such rooms. One more thing I love about the Honeywell QuietCare 17000 is the exterior design. Not only does it look classy…it’s a breeze to clean it! All you have to do is wipe it with a damp cloth…and VIOLA! Your maintenance for the air purifier is all fixed. As for the controls, I’m giving this air purifier another 2 thumbs up. It comes with soft touch buttons that don’t make the usual clicking sound when pressed. This makes it an excellent choice for a child’s room. You can easily sneak in and change the settings without waking up your little one.

Many doctors and health experts give Honeywell air purifiers two thumbs up and recommend it to their patients…and it’s very easy to understand why. Think about it – the Honeywell QuietCare 17005 comes with a true HEPA filter that can remove 99.97 percent of common household particles…AND that’s at the very least! Not to mention it can remove particles that are as small as 0.3 microns. That means you don’t have to worry about dust pollen, smoke, molds, pet dander, and other not-so-friendly particles finding their way inside your respiratory system.

Now you can experience the clean and fresh air that you would only find in clean rooms (in hospitals) with the HoneyWell QuietCare 17005. And did I mention this air purifier is very silent when doing its job?

The Honeywell QuietCare 17005 also comes with a convenient and energy-saving programmable controls. It allows you to preset the air purifying unit to operate for a certain time span and automatically shut off when you need it to. It’s a great way to minimize energy costs. As for the no-replacement-needed HEPA filter, it is very easy to clean. All you have to do is vacuum it about twice a year depending on how frequently you use the air purifier. What could be easier than that!

And to make the deal even sweeter, you can style and place the air purifying unit anywhere! If you want to place it against the wall, then no problem. The Whirlpool Whispure will still work very effectively. Coming both with HEPA filter along with a prefilter, this air purifier works at its maximum efficiency…filtering particles even those a small as 0.3 microns. Additionally, it comes with an indicator light that’s designed to let you know when you should change your filters. For HEPA filters, it takes about 12 months until it needs replacement. On the other hand, the prefilter of Whirlpool Whispure needs about 3 months before replacement.

That may sound nice, but what about the noise levels of this air purifier? That’s not a problem with this air purifier! It is very quiet…and that means placing it in your bedroom and using it while you sleep shouldn’t pose any serious problems. To top it off, the Whirlpool Whispure does not draw a lot of current. You can even run it on a 15-amp circuit and it’s guaranteed to work flawlessly and comfortably.

Coming as an upgraded version of the C90A, the Friedrich C90B comes with an enhanced clean air delivery rate (this is known as CADR for short). Not to mention it provides wider and better coverage for larger room sizes. Here’s the bottom line – when compared to its predecessor (C90A which was well loved by the industry and especially those who used it) this air purifier is 15 percent more powerful and efficient!

Let’s take a look at its CADR in a closer and more detailed fashion – it an remove 384 types of dust, 326 tobacco smoke, 421 pollen, and combine that with a 506 square feet coverage, the Friedrich C90B is an air purifier that can rival even the more expensive and more popular brands out there like the BlueAir 501 air purifiers that can remove 377 dust, 388 smoke, and 378 pollen.

The C90 purifiers, especially the Friedrich C90B, have a huge following, and it’s not really surprising why. There are a couple of points or rooms for improvement, though, that I would like to bring to your attention. First and foremost, in high particle rooms, say bars and clubs where tobacco smoke is present and in high quantities, the electrostatic cell’s efficiency will degrade very rapidly. With that in mind, you should wash the plates very frequently.

If washing is taken for granted, which is very common among air purifier owners, the electrostatic purifier will bypass many of the finer particles…it will leak just like any cheap HEPA air filter would. Not the most pleasant news in my book! Overall, however, I’m highly recommending the Friedrich C90B to anyone. Just remember, you need to maintain it on a consistent basis.
