Allerair 5000 Review

Allerair 5000
Just like its smaller version - the AllerAir 4000, the AllerAir 5000 takes advantage of different and replaceable air filters that work independently. First, it has the 18 pound mass activated carbon bed (which is also known as MAC-B for short), a 66 square foot HEPA filter, a pre-filter, and 2 anti-microbial filters.

Whew! That's a lot of filters. I wonder if any microbe, allergen, or particle could survive that! AllerAir 5000 uses a blanket wrap pre-filter. This part of AllerAir 5000 is responsible for capturing large airborne particles and impurities like hair, insects, leaf fragments, and larger dust.

Personally, I love the large Mass Activated Carbon Bed (MAC-B) weighing at 18 pounds. This filter of AllerAir 5000 has the ability to easily get rid of and clean airborne chemicals, reduce cigarette smoke, molds and mildews, paint fumes, solvents, as well as gasses from carpet, furniture, and plastic. Just in case you don't know, the activated carbon is of excellent quality...coming from coconut shell.

And to finish the air cleaning and purifying process, the 2 anti-microbial filters removes, well...different micro organisms that can cause health problems like viruses, germs, bacteria, and everything in between. That's very handy when you realize that there are different respiratory diseases caused by these not-so-friendly micro organisms.

Let me make this clear though - you shouldn't rely on AllerAir 5000 or any other air purifiers as your only defense against these airborne elements. You should remove the sources of these airborne particles before you install any air purifier.

However, with a 66 square foot and medical grade HEPA air filter that has been tested and proven to remove 99.97% of airborne particles (including those that are as small as 0.03 micron) like pollens, dust, and other asthma and allergy-causing elements, the AllerAir 5000 is definitely a must-have if you're in the market for a cleaner and healthier air.
